Working with you
My work is both psychodynamic—exploring how past traumas
influence your current level of anxiety, and relational—where we
look at early patterns of relating that are revived within the context
of the therapeutic relationship. I also use mindfulness-based
cognitive techniques that address habits of thinking that not only
reinforce, but tend to increase your anxiety.
My training in Bioenergetic Analysis allows me to see you in
yet another way. For example, I might notice how you are holding
your jaw tightly, or maybe you tend to hold your breath. Deeply-
rooted physical tensions such as these manifest for a good reason.
They helped you survive your circumstances—to block painful
feelings or impulses that weren't supported in your early life. Once
useful, these adaptations now increase your level of anxiety, and
limit your ability to fully experience and enjoy the present moment.
As you gain more awareness and release these old patterns, your
anxiety may begin to soften, allowing you to connect to an embodied
"felt-sense" of yourself. This growing awareness can inform other areas
of your life, leading you to make to healthier choices, find deeper
relationships, and live a more authentic, fulfilling life.

As an artist, I also enjoy helping people in creative fields expand their innate abilities,
as well as those who would like to discover their yet untapped creativity. Here I might
use art therapy and other experiential modalities that facilitate playful self-expression.
Freeing yourself up to play can be helpful in regulating your anxiety, and open you up
to discover more creative approaches to living.
I work primarily with individuals and couples.
My fee is $125 for a one-hour session, payable by check or cash.
I am no longer accepting Insurance, but I do see a number of clients on a sliding scale basis. If your Insurance accepts Out of Network Providers, I will provide a superbill that you can send in for reimbursement. All fees are due in full at the end of each session.
There is a 24-hour cancellation policy.
My office is located on the west side of Los Angeles (Culver City adjacent), in a serene,
park-like setting with easy access to the 10 and 405 freeways via La Cienega Blvd.
